Delivering Early Childhood Experiences

Shardae Scott
Shardae Scott, a Chicago native, has lived in various neighborhoods and townships throughout the Chicagoland area. She holds a background in communications from Northern Illinois University and spent nine years as a Certified Nursing Assistant, culminating in her role as a school nurse for Bellwood District 88. Her experiences as a single mother of two, combined with her involvement in Chicago Public Schools and other Chicagoland districts, have fueled her passion for empowering young minds—particularly children of color—with the knowledge and skills necessary for success.
For the past two years, Shardae has been employed with a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering health, wellness, and healing within the inner city. Her work includes organizing for social change, promoting the arts, and managing a holistic health center. Throughout her tenure, she has held several positions, including Behavioral Health Administrative Assistant, Health Center Executive Assistant, and ultimately Health Center Operations Manager. Her rapid growth within the organization is a testament to her dedication to:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and writing detailed reports.
- Coordinating care and sharing important health updates with parents, teachers, and external healthcare providers.
- Collaborating with finance managers to define business challenges and identify key data points for analysis.
In addition to her role as Health Center Operations Manager, Shardae serves as the note-taker champion for the Health Center Committee, where she records meeting minutes and tracks time.
Shardae is deeply committed to the mission of Love of Learning, particularly in the development of early education products that inspire self-discovery in young children. By nurturing cognitive development during this critical period, she believes in laying the foundation for lifelong learning and success. Her goal is to enhance the organization’s communication strategies to improve productivity and collaboration among members, partners, and parents while strengthening engagement with both the organization and the broader community.
